We stayed here for a week in June with 2 young children. The villa was perfect for us, spacious, clean, quiet area, garden is a lovely size and the villa has everything we needed. We hired a car and drove to beaches, local towns and supermarkets. Everything was a short drive, but the villa itself is in a quiet location which is lovely (especially with young children.) On our first day we had a visit from a guy who looks after the villa to tell us about the local area, we followed many of his recommendations, none of which disappointed! I can’t fault the villa, and we would definitely consider returning one year :)

Nice holiday house if you don't want the touristic program. The house was located in a quite street, next to other rental homes. Bakery, shops and restaurants in walking distance/ short drive by car. Well equipped. Super easy and friendly check-in by the staff.

Lovely family villa. Family of 7 stayed for a week in April. The villa had plenty of space for us all both internally and externally. The garden has high walls nd not overlooked- a lovely place to relax. everything a family could need was provided, ie washing machine, fully equipped kitchen, towels etc. With added bonus of the games room that provided entertainment for the evenings and the rainy days. Pool is perfect size for small children to splash around and for a dip to cool off. The property is in a Good location to explore the Algarve, not far from albufeira and some good family attractions. The description says ‘20 minutes walk to the beach’ not sure which way was the best way to walk but the quickest we did it was in 40 minutes, however the beaches were worth the walk- absolutely beautiful. Appreciated the midweek maid service where they changed the towels and took out the bins and recycling.

Lovely villa. We loved our stay at Villa Retiro. The villa itself has ample of space inside and out. There is outside seating areas at the back and side of the property and the pool was great for a dip to cool down. My son loved the pool and football table which was an added bonus. The villa is about a 5/10 min walk into the local town where there is a few cafes, bars and supermarket - I would recommend Polosul which is the cafe on the roundabout - staff are lovely.

Alles wunderbar. Wir haben zu 5 Personen und einem Kind eine wunderschöne Woche in diesem Haus verbracht! Es fehlte an nichts wir haben uns richtig gut erholen können. Schön ist es das jedes Schlafzimmer ein eigenes Bad verfügt so hatten wir trotzdem jeder seine Privatsphäre. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder! Von der Lage fanden wir es super das es nicht ganz so zentral liegt (nicht mitten in Albufaira) aber trotzdem jeder schöne Strand nur paar fahrminuten entfernt liegt!

First time in a villa in Portugal and it will not be the last. The villa is set in a quiet side street about a 10 minute walk from town. The villa has all mod cons and the WiFi works fine, OK if you have teenagers - we have 4. The games room is a nice touch useful when the temperature rises to high in the middle of the day. The only downside is the old car in corner of the gamesroom smelling of petrol. The letting staff are helpful and friendly and the villa and garden are in top condition. The pool is a nice size big enough for all six of us to cool down in when needed. We hired a car to explore the area as well but if you didn't mind the walk into town and happy to laze about around by the pool you possibly get away without a car transfer only.

Huisje valle Een mooi huis met alles erop en eraan. Plaats is ideaal om de Algarve te ontdekken,Aldi in de buurt en restaurants . Je huurt wel best een auto, er zijn veel mooie stranden in de buurt maar wel echt ver te voet. We hebben genoten van de Algarve.

We had a wonderful time at this villa! It says cosy, but the actual interior is very spacious which was a nice surprise. There was a whole area downstairs for the pool table and football table which were great! The pool is quite small but it did work for us as we only used it to cool off rather than swim. There were lots of inflatables provided which were great fun - including a volley-ball net which provided much entertainment! The place was extremely clean. It's in a good location for people willing to walk, only a half hour walk to the beach, 10 minutes to the local shops and bars and 5 minutes to a lovely restaurant called Prima Pasta. The only downside was the late arrival of our transfer from the airport but we were not delayed for too long and the taxi driver was extremely helpful! Thanks very much to the hosts, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

We had a lovely stay here. The extra bed wasn’t set up so I had to carry this up from the basement & send a couple of texts as there was no bed linen. This was the only issue. You can use washing machine, if I’d known I may not have taken so much for our two year old. The hairdryer is good, powerful & not like one you would find attached to the wall in a hotel. The power cut out a few times on us which in turn would mess up the water sprays in the garden. Was quite funny as it took us by surprise when we were on the sun loungers. It was quickly sorted after a text to Nuno. Would recommend Prima Pasta a walkable distance for great food! Check out time was tight for us being a family of 5 with three children the ground maintenance guy arrived 15 minutes before 10am so I think they were keen to get us out. Our flight wasn’t until 1pm, however, we were given alternatives from the property management team. They were all very friendly & helpful. The pool is as described, cosy. We had a lovely holiday & will return back to Portugal but we will find a villa with a larger pool next time.

Es war ein sehr schöner und erholsamer Urlaub. Schade ,dass er schon wieder vorbei ist.

War alles genau so wie beschrieben. Überraschend 2 x wõchentlich Handtuch und Bettwäsche Wechsel. Problemlose Übergaben der Schlüssel.

Villa is ruim binnen iets wat gedateerd maar verder is wel alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Tuin is erg mooi, niet groot maar je kan er wel lekker zitten en het zwembad ziet er mooi uit. In het najaar (september) heb je niet veel zon meer in de tuin, rond 4 uur is er geen zon meer bij het zwembad.

Stayed here for 15 days May/June 2015, villa is lovely and exactly as stated. Pool is small but was fine big enough for the kids (4&5), rooms big and spacious, kitchen had everything you need, it was like a home from home with the sun. Location was a bit far out only 1 bar within walking distance which was great for a beer but the food portions were small, you would need a car if you were staying here. Jane the maid was lovely and very friendly arranged a time that suited us to come and clean rather than just turning up which was pretty good. Villa was very secure with shutters on all windows/doors. Garden sprinklers were a pain in the backside as they always scared the life out of me even tho they came on the same time every night, you just have to remember to leave nothing on the grass or on the chairs close to the grass otherwise they would be soaked. Tv only had a few freeview channels and due to international law they didn't have 1,2,3 or 4 and after the first week all the kids channels failed to have a signal, we didn't complain as the kids had there phones to keep them entertained when tired of being in the sun. Wifi was good in the living / pool area but lost connection up stairs in the bedroom or down in the basement, could only have 1 main connection to the wifi otherwise it would be very slow. All in all I would recommend this villa for a quiet relaxing holiday and would return in the future.

This was our first stay in Villa Retiro. The villa is clean and spacious. The gardens are small and the pool is very small. The villa sits in a quiet area of Vale de Parra close to some restaurants and shops. I would recommend a car if you stay here to get to and from other resorts and beaches
